Program Description:
The Global Scholars Research Abroad Scholarship was established to provide support for active members of the Global Scholars Program to conduct research abroad during the summer, semester, or academic year.

This scholarship provides financial support of $1,000 to five students per year.

The deadline to apply is February 15.

Eligibility
 
  • Degree-seeking KU undergraduate student
  • Active member of KU Global Scholars Program
  • Started application through KU Study Abroad & Global Engagement for credit-bearing study abroad program

Application Procedures

All applicants will be required to submit the following documents:
 
  • A research proposal in which the applicant summarizes the idea for their project, describes the work that they will carry out abroad and how they have prepared to do so, and explores the impact of the research on their academic or career objectives
  • Unofficial transcript or advising report

Follow-Up Requirement

All scholarship recipients will be expected to do a brief write-up of their experience abroad, preferably including photos, to share with the Global Scholars Program.
