Program Description:


Funding your Study Abroad Program

KU Study Abroad can do personalized financial aid and scholarship advising for students.  Please visit 108 Lippincott Hall or call 785-864-3742 to set up an appointment.  KU students who qualify for financial aid in the form of Stafford and/or other loans, Federal Grants, and KU or outside scholarships may apply the aid to the cost of a study abroad program.  
 
KU Study Abroad supplemental scholarships are available to KU degree seeking students. Applications are available online. The scholarship application deadline is March 1 for Summer, March 15th for Fall and Academic Year programs and October 1 for Spring, Winter Break and Spring Break programs.

Application Procedures

All applicants will be required to complete several documents for each study abroad application.  Below is a list of documents that will need to be completed for an application.

        a. Statement of Purpose
        b. Academic Plan and Approval Form
        c. Verification of Minimum GPA Requirement
        d. Official Transcript
        e. 2 Recommendations
        f. Authorization to Release Student Information
        g. Student Conduct Verification
        h. Financial Aid Questionnaire

Exploring Oslo and other parts of Norway was something that I really enjoyed a lot. It was really great to see another country, especially one that is so different and beautiful than the one that I am familiar with.

When I traveled to Norway, I was involved in such a strong community. We were able to experience a lot in our time both in class and outside of school. I also truly appreciated the incorporation of nature and metropolitan life in Norway, specifically Oslo.

It is very important to allocate time to yourself, even if it feels like there is so much to do. Finding that little bit of time to decompress is very crucial, especially abroad.
