In lab it can be hard to tell if your professor has a passion for the subject they teach, or rather just a broad knowledge of a curriculum they enjoy. In the field you can tell immediately how much they care about their subjects. The look in their eyes and the excitement in their voice when they discover that species they've been searching for lets you know. I've never seen this kind of passion in a lab, and seeing it in the field let me know the professors I learn from truly do care. That was my favorite part of the program

It was educational from a scientific standpoint, and we also made many great friends.

I was the videographer so I had a different experience than the other students, but I liked having the freedom to capture the experience in any way I liked.
