Program Description:

Funding your Study Abroad Program

Study Abroad & Global Engagement can do personalized financial aid and scholarship advising for students.  Please visit 108 Lippincott Hall or call 785-864-3742 to set up an appointment.  KU students who qualify for financial aid in the form of Stafford and/or other loans, Federal Grants, and KU or outside scholarships may apply the aid to the cost of a Study Abroad Program.  
 
KU Study Abroad supplemental scholarships are available to KU degree seeking students. Applications are available online. The scholarship application deadline is March 1 for Summer and Fall and Academic Year programs and October 1 for Spring, Winter Break and Spring Break programs.

Business School Scholarship

Business students may be eligible for scholarships for this program. Students who have not previously received study abroad scholarships from the Business School will have priority for scholarship awards.  For more information and application instructions, see: https://business.ku.edu/scholarships-study-abroad  

Application Procedures

All applicants will be required to complete several documents for each study abroad application.  Below is a list of documents that will need to be completed for an application.
      
        a. Business Statement of Purpose
        b. Verification of Minimum GPA Requirement
        c. Unofficial Transcript or Advising Report
        d. Authorization to Release Student Information
        e. Student Conduct Verification
        f. Financial Aid Questionnaire

Winter Break 2023 Participant
Every part of this program was my favorite. Jana and Brian were the best teachers we could've asked to experience this program with us. Our tour guide was also amazing and it was so sad to say bye to him after a week of fun. The sleeping arrangements were flawless and every company tour and historical/biblical destination was eye opening and fantastic. The nightlife was always fun and we were given enough time to hangout with our friends without being tied down to the program. Our days were super busy but it never felt undoable. I would recommend this program 100 times over.

We were able to share meals with many local Israelis and Palestinians, eating in different Jewish, Arab, and Druze homes. This was the most rewarding to me because it really allowed me to experience the lives they are living.

I found it very rewarding to speak with people my same age that were in the Israeli military. After graduation, I will be an officer in the US military. I was interested in comparing and contrasting the US and Israeli militaries. I spoke at length with soldiers my age. We talked about their day to day lives and duties. These conversations were very rewarding because we were able to transcend cultural differences and connect through our passions for military service.
