Program Description:

Funding your Study Abroad Program

Study Abroad & Global Engagement can do personalized financial aid and scholarship advising for students.  Please visit 108 Lippincott Hall or call 785-864-3742 to set up an appointment.  KU students who qualify for financial aid in the form of Stafford and/or other loans, Federal Grants, and KU or outside scholarships may apply the aid to the cost of a Study Abroad Program.  
 
KU Study Abroad supplemental scholarships are available to KU degree seeking students. Applications are available online. The scholarship application deadline is March 1 for Summer and Fall and Academic Year programs and October 1 for Spring, Winter Break and Spring Break programs.

Business School Scholarship

Business students may be eligible for scholarships for this program. Students who have not previously received study abroad scholarships from the Business School will have priority for scholarship awards.  For more information and application instructions, see: https://business.ku.edu/scholarships-study-abroad  

Application Procedures

All applicants will be required to complete several documents for each study abroad application.  Below is a list of documents that will need to be completed for an application.
      
        a. Business Statement of Purpose
        b. Verification of Minimum GPA Requirement
        c. Unofficial Transcript or Advising Report
        d. Authorization to Release Student Information
        e. Student Conduct Verification
        f. Financial Aid Questionnaire

Winter Break 2023 Participant
My favorite part of this program was being completely immersed in another culture. We were the 'odd ones out'. Constantly being surrounded by Israeli people allowed me to ask targeted questions about their way of life. I learned far more than I could have by taking a course.

This program was incredibly designed to have both immense educational and historical/cultural enrichment. I was able to learn a large amount about technology and entrepreneurship through company visits and meetings, but was also given ample time to explore the cultural and historical sites that make Israel what it is today.

We were able to share meals with many local Israelis and Palestinians, eating in different Jewish, Arab, and Druze homes. This was the most rewarding to me because it really allowed me to experience the lives they are living.
