Funding your Study Abroad Program
- KU Tuition includes one semester of $40 placeholder enrollment fee (FRSP enrollment).
- The KU Required Fee includes advising and enrollment support, pre-departure services, international risk management, support while abroad, post-program services, and AIG supplemental medical insurance and emergency evacuation & repatriation services for program dates.
- The CIMBA Program Fee (billed through the University of Iowa) includes: tuition for 12-18 undergraduate credit hours (educational expenses portion: $10,605); a double-occupancy room in an on-campus residence hall; meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the campus cafeteria); textbook rental; housing cleaning, linens and towels, laundry tokens; CISI international travel and medical insurance; bus transfers at program start and end; 2 gourmet Italian dinners; cultural exploration activities; leadership institute certificates and programming.
- All other costs listed are estimates for items that students will pay for directly. The actual total cost will vary for each participant depending on spending habits and travel plans. Please note that personal expenses is intended to cover necessities only and does not include personal travel.
Funding your Study Abroad Program
- KU Study Abroad offers personalized financial aid and scholarship advising for students. Book a virtual advising appointment. KU students who qualify for financial aid in the form of Federal and/or other loans, Federal Grants, and KU or outside scholarships may apply the aid to the cost of a study abroad program.
