My favorite part of the program was the day trip to Germany we took while in Basel, Switzerland. We explored the Vitra Design Campus, which consisted of museums, studios, and shops, with an emphasis on chair and furniture production. The surrounding museum focused on furniture design and featured some of the coolest interactive exhibits of the trip.

My favorite part was all the museum and landmarks we visited. Since it was a design trip, the visits made for great inspiration for my sketchbook and camera.

My favorite part of this entire journey was connecting with an amazing group of fellow students who are also studying design. Beyond the incredible friendships, getting to immerse myself in a new country was unforgettable. Since the program focused on design, stepping into European museums and seeing iconic works up close was truly amazing. It was both incredibly fun and deeply inspiring to learn from design history and make connections.

One of the elements I found most rewarding was the daily assignments we were given. They allowed me to focus on a specific detail or element throughout our activities that gave me a new appreciation for the art or design we were experiencing. Additionally, the free time we were offered after our planned activities was a nice way to explore the city on our own and allowed me to pursue my own interests independently.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the trip was our daily documentation. I kept a journal where I collaged different items to capture each day. Looking back through those pages now is incredibly fulfilling, it instantly transports me back. Ultimately, being constantly surrounded by European design has profoundly expanded my creative horizon. It has influenced how I approach and conceptualize new projects
