Being able to immerse myself in a completely different culture and get to know people from around the world is something that I will never forget. I also really enjoyed the academic side of study abroad, and some of my favorite classes I've taken were in Italy.

The city itself. Bangkok is easily one of the friendliest and most diverse cities in Southeast Asia; since it's such a huge tourist spot, you'll meet and make friends with people from all around the world. Bangkok is also a food capital of the world, and you will learn why pretty quickly. You won't have better food anywhere else; around every corner there's always something new to try that's better than the last thing that you had. And there are a LOT of corners in Bangkok. It's absolutely massive. Imagine a city as building-dense as NYC but the size of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and you have Bangkok. You could be there for multiple years and not do everything the city has to offer.

I loved getting to step out of my comfort zone and meet new people. Malta specifically is very unique because there are a lot of exchange students from across Europe, so you get to meet people from all different countries.

Traveling is always very rewarding, but I really enjoyed learning in a new environment as well. Attending school in Milan helped me become more confident in myself and my future goals after graduating from KU.

I had the chance to enjoy a lot of my hobbies freely with like-minded people. Others who were studying Korean language, who enjoyed the music and cuisine as I did, and who were very excited to travel. I was fortunate to be able to visit many cities in South Korea, so I felt like I had the chance to properly experience different facets of Korean culture.

The elements that I found most rewarding were getting to meet people from all over and getting to immerse myself in the Italian culture, as I was living there for three months. Florence was the perfect host city that allowed me to meet so many different people and experience a culture so different from the one I am used to back home.
