Visiting the Voladores de Tamaletón, meeting the locals and speaking with them, visiting the archaeological ruins, and all of the water springs was very cool. Visiting the local Universities was also very cool, as it allowed me to see the differences, meet local University students, hear about their experiences there, and explore their Universities. The nursing student day was also very interesting, as it allowed me to see their projects about the different products and herbs.

I found talking to the local students of UICSLP (Universidad Intercultural de San Luis Potosi very rewarding. I got invaluable insights into their way of life, and struggles, and hopes.

Meeting and interacting with Mexican college students was amazing! Comparing and contrasting our lives was really interesting because although we live in two different countries and speak two different languages, our lives weren't all that different.

I loved that we were encouraged to ask questions to the students in Mexico that we met throughout the trip. My main interest for this program was that we would be able to interact with indigenous communities that I would not be able to to if I went alone to Mexico. Although, I would have enjoyed more interaction I loved that we got to speak to many Teneek and Nahuatl speakers throughout the study abroad program.

Spanish will be helpful and will be used on this trip, for instance, at the airport. It's good to come prepared with what you may need for the temperature and things that may happen. You will learn a lot on this trip, so it may be good to take notes so it is easier to remember it all to tell others and for the paper. Also, don't be nervous! The people will get you through the trip, they are very friendly and welcoming.

I believe students should be mindful of the weather that is present in Mexico, and more specifically in San Luis Potosí. This area is very hot during some seasons. Students should assess if this is the proper location for them to thrive in a study abroad trip.
