I loved every second of being in Havana. My favorite part of the program was connecting with the students from Cuba.

I found the internal conflicts I was feeling on this trip to be the most rewarding. In particular, being face-to-face with the consequences of U.S. foriegn policy does change someone's perspectives in drastic ways.

As a visual arts student, I found the gallery in Havana the most rewarding because each work offered a new perspective on the history and culture we had been interacting with throughout the preparation and the trip itself.

I feel changed after returning home from Cuba. Learning about the history and politics of the Cuban people helped me to better understand American politics.

This was my first time experiencing first-hand how the United States treats the people who disagree with our philosophy. Seeing how our nation had used its power to disenfranchise the Cuban people, I was amazed at their lack of resentment.
