Meeting so many people from all over the world and establishing friendships with such a wide range of people was definitely the best part of my experience.

The immersion into german culture and friendships I made are invaluable and priceless to me. I will treasure this experience for the rest of my life.

Learning a new language from scratch and being able to communicate with people in it. For the first two weeks I could barely get by without English but the instructors did a great job and later on I could complete normal tasks completely in German.

I found the experience of staying with a host family most rewarding. They were like my second family while I was abroad and gave me the opportunity to really become immersed in the culture.

I learned that there are differences in cultures that can both be enjoyed and irritating at times, but that adapting to those changes can be a very rewarding life experience well worth the frustrations and forced sudden acclimation.
