My favorite part about being abroad was being on my own. KU isn't very far from home for me, so this was truly an eye-opening experience because it taught me how to be self-sufficient and showed me confidence that I didn't know I had.

I enjoyed being immersed in a completely different culture while gaining professional experience that will help me upon graduation.

My favorite part of the program was exploring the country, learning about its culture, and becoming more self-sufficient in new circumstances.

My internship and the kids I worked with this summer was the most rewarding part of my summer in Ireland.

I found it incredibly valuable to meet and gain numerous professional contacts. My coworkers and boss were helpful and taught me transferable skills I plan to use at my next job.

The most rewarding aspect, in my opinion, was the day to day interaction with people from Ireland and from other schools around the United States. It made it very easy to gain new perspectives on the world and to experience life in a way very different than what I was used to.

The most rewarding part was being able to tell everyone what you learned about your country that no one else would know. This is the information that you learn by being there for an extended period of time.

Working every day was more rewarding than I thought, because I felt I was making an impact in the lives of people who I hadn't even met.

I personally loved where I was placed for my internship. I was at the Royal College of Surgeons in the marketing department and I could not have asked for a better experience there. I was challenged everyday and was constantly meeting new people and learning new things. I loved the location, I feel like it was very rewarding because I was right in City Centre next to this beautiful park. It was a great environment and really allowed me to experience Dublin!

I learned so much about the history and culture of Ireland. It really is amazing how important the history is in Ireland and is something I will always remember and hope to come back to.

There is always something to do. If you are sitting in your room at any point, you are doing something wrong and you should go out and explore.
