To work abroad was an experience that cannot be replicated in any way; having to live in the city, commute everyday and live like a citizen working in London is the best decision I could have made to do with my summer. The best part by far was being thrown in and treated like a citizen of the U.K. which CAPA does a great job of.

I really liked all of the activities that were built into the program, both academically and outside of class. They allowed us to explore and experience parts of London we might otherwise have overlooked.

The class excursions allowed me to see parts of the city that I would have never thought to visit on my own. Places like Greenwich and the Prime Meridian, as well as the Shoreditch and Bricklane areas were so culturally important but not necessarily top "tourist" sites.

The field studies during the duration of the course were the best way to see the city and learn about the country we were studying in. I don't think I would have visited all the places we went on these field trips and I appreciate our professors efforts to show us a wide range of locations to really get to know London.

Ashley M Hocking, Summer 2016 Participant
My favorite part of the program was getting to immerse myself in another culture. There is truly no greater way to study than to do it in the place that history happened.

Robert W Cantrell, Summer 2017 Participant
My favorite part of the program was my internship itself, the work site had an incredible organizational climate and every day made me realize that working abroad in London was the right once in a lifetime opportunity for me.

Savannah Cowles Fairall, Summer 2017 Participant
My favorite part of the London Internship program was the friendships I made and the confidence I gained.

My favorite part of the program itself were all the day trips that my class took. We would go to all the different areas of London sometimes even outside of the city with class and a lot of them were places I wouldn't have gone otherwise. I felt like I got to experience a lot more that the city had to offer that wasn't the main tourist areas.

Allison Ann Moore, Summer 2017 Participant
My favorite part of studying abroad in London was waking up in the city and being able to walk to new places. Everyday was different and there was so much to see in London!

I thought all of the internship pairings were very legitimate and fitting to each of our interests.

Katherine Lynn Gross, Summer 2019 Participant
My favorite part of this program was my internship. I interned at a company that was relevant to my interests and has helped me better understand the industry I am studying. The people I worked with were amazing and I have made lasting connections with them.

It was amazing being able to experience a new culture from the perspective of someone living and working in that environment.

Summer 2014 Participant
The internship was extremely rewarding. It was also amazing to learn about the history of the city.

Summer 2014 Participant
The internship was extremely rewarding. I learned so much valuable information including work experience, international experience, and how to adjust to a new culture and situation.

Summer 2015 Participant
The field studies for the Modern London class were rewarding because they taught me more about the city and let me get out of the classroom and explore.

Laura Alice Kubicki, Summer 2015 Participant
I found interning abroad was the most rewarding element of this program because it gave me a hands-on insight to how the working world differs internationally. I love how I can tell future employers that I have international work experience. I feel as if it gives me somewhat of an advantage and would love to work internationally again one day.

Summer 2015 Participant
The internship was the most rewarding. I was able to see myself learning first-hand and becoming better at tasks given to me. Hearing praise from supervisors made it worth it.

Ashley M Hocking, Summer 2016 Participant
I loved the work experience I gained by doing an internship abroad. I also liked the real-world experience I gained. I learned how to navigate the tube and buses in London, one of the world's biggest cities. When I went to other countries on the weekends, I also learned how to adapt in countries with different transportation systems, different cultures, and different first languages.

Caroline Ann Appleby, Summer 2017 Participant
I found that I got a lot of skills from interning and living in a busy city and truly working.

Savannah Cowles Fairall, Summer 2017 Participant
The most rewarding aspect of the London Internship Program was learning how to put my skills at work in a real world setting.

The internship and the experience of being a foreigner

Summer 2017 Participant
I thought that the internship was rewarding because I was doing actual work that my company needed to get done, which helped lighten their work load.

Allison Ann Moore, Summer 2017 Participant
I really liked how during our internships we got to feel as if we were apart of the company and actually do some work that meant something to our companies.

Summer 2017 Participant
The internship had me learning new things everyday. Also, learning more about London was very rewarding.

I found completing my internship very rewarding. I had learned so many new things and met so many great people that when I left, I felt that I actually made an impact on my organization!

I really enjoyed immersing myself in a specific course, Exploring and Analyzing the Global City of London. This course not only opened my eyes to many unknown things about the development of London as a global city; the cultural and social understanding that was gained in this course is purely priceless.

Hannah Elizabeth Hall, Summer 2014 Participant
It was a life changing experience. You become much more confident of yourself and independent after traveling abroad.

Summer 2015 Participant
It goes by really quickly, so make the most out of it while you're there.

Ashley M Hocking, Summer 2016 Participant
Research, research, research. I made a loose itinerary for myself for the two months that I was abroad and definitely got to see and do more than most people while I was abroad. I really made the most of my time there by traveling every weekend.

Caroline Ann Appleby, Summer 2017 Participant
This experience will change your outlooks on the world and open your eyes to new experiences. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. Being able to intern for a international company was amazing.

Robert W Cantrell, Summer 2017 Participant
Bring multiple adaptors, dont be afraid to travel to other countries on the weekends and dont be shy, you will make countless friends

Savannah Cowles Fairall, Summer 2017 Participant
During my time in London I learned a great deal of communication skills and was able to find my place in one of the busiest cities in the world.

Summer 2017 Participant
Make a list of everything that you want to do before you get to a location so you can be efficient and make sure to get it all done

Allison Ann Moore, Summer 2017 Participant
I definitely learned how to navigate better by myself, be more confident either in my work or personal life and I also got to get a better idea of what I want to do as a career later on.

Summer 2018 Participant
I learned how to carry myself in a business setting that was completely foreign to me! It taught me not only communication skills with my collegues and customers that were coming to the organization.

Summer 2018 Participant
Certainly have your travel and expenses planned out. The toughest thing is balancing quality travel and exploration with proper timing and budget.

Katherine Lynn Gross, Summer 2019 Participant
I learned more about the world, other cultures and international business. Additionally, I had to learn a lot of independence living on my own in another country. I knew I had assistance from my program with anything I needed, but also felt like my hand wasn't held throughout the whole process, which I thought was beneficial.
