Wales : Reviews (Swansea)

I absolutely loved getting to live with the Welsh and English students. This really helped me feel like a was a part of their culture; it acted as an everyday reminder that I was living in another country! I also loved the 4 week long spring break as it allowed me to travel to 6 different countries!

Selfishly, my favorite part of the program was the huge spring break that Swansea University had! We had a good month (plus or minus days depending on when your exams were) to travel and see whatever we wanted to see in Europe.

Being there for a semester gave me lots of opportunities and freedom to travel when and where I wanted to, as well as being there for enough time so I didn't feel the need to cram in all the events and travel experiences in the first month which I appreciated so it was a more authentic student experience.

The parts of this program I found the most rewarding were the trust in you to figure things out, but still providing the necessary resources if you can't do it on your own. Transportation systems, visas, a new education system, and freedom to join any clubs or to simply do your own thing.

I learned how to be an efficient and problem solving traveler. My confidence in navigating new cities had drastically improved from the beginning to the end of the program.
