My favorite part of the program was the German course in Vienna, and spending three months living there over the summer 2023. The length of the program also allows for time to experience much more and develop deeper relationships and practice the language.

My favorite part of this program was the unique things the University of Stuttgart had to offer that I would never have gotten to explore at the University of Kansas. I got to enhance and diversify my experiences for my college education.

Being able to understand it is possible to create community no matter where you go. I was able to go to Germany with little German and no friends to understanding the language enough to get by and created many friends from all over Europe and the world in the process!

Reach out to people for help with the bureaucracy! The processes are painstakingly slow and often tedious, including at Uni Stuttgart. Stay on top of deadlines for registration, payments, etc. At the end of the day, though, enjoy the time in Germany and try to have fun. It's okay to sacrifice a letter grade to make the most of your time here.
