Program Description:

Funding for this scholarship is provided by the generous support of Christine Pederson, KU alumna and participant in the International Summer School (ISS) at the University of Oslo in Oslo, Norway. This scholarship provides financial support of up to $5,000 to degree-seeking University of Kansas students to participate in the ISS. One scholarship will be awarded annually. Applicants should not previously have received an award through this fund.

The deadline to apply is March 1.

Eligibility

  • Degree-seeking KU student
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Started application through KU Study Abroad & Global Engagement for the ISS at the University of Oslo

Application Procedures

All applicants will be required to submit the following documents:
 
  • A scholarship personal statement in which the applicant addresses why they have chosen to study abroad and what motivated them to choose the ISS as their study abroad program.  Applicants should discuss how the ISS program will help them fulfill their academic, career, and personal goals.
  • Unofficial transcript or advising report

Follow-Up Requirement
Scholarship recipients are expected to write a thank you letter.
