Program Description:

Center for Latin American & Caribbean Studies Scholarships

The Center for Latin American & Caribbean Studies (CLACS) offers several $500 scholarships. Eligible applicants must be degree-seeking students at KU who have applied to an academic year, semester, or short-term (summer, winter break) study abroad program and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to undergraduate applicants.
 
The Anita Herzfeld Award honors Anita Herzfeld, professor emerita of Latin American and Caribbean Studies, former director of KU Study Abroad and beloved teacher and noted linguist, who retired in 2012 after working to expand international education for KU students during a distinguished career spanning more than fifty years. The award is for study in any Latin American country.

 

Application Procedures

All applicants will be required to submit the following documents. Applicants who have not begun an application for a study abroad program will not be eligible for the scholarship.
