Mackenzie Aden Scholarship for Global Scholars
As a Global Scholar, Mackenzie Aden (‘18 Cohort) travelled abroad for the first time. Grateful for the opportunity, and especially a scholarship from KU, Aden has established an award to support those currently in the KU Global Scholars Program. Any Global Scholar who has applied to participate in an international study, internship or research abroad program, for which they will earn credit through KU or another accredited institution, is eligible to be considered for this scholarship of $1,000.
Eligibility
One non-renewable award of $1,000 will be given to a KU student who is an active member of the Global Scholars program and who will be studying, interning, or conducting research abroad for the winter break, summer semester or academic year.
Application Procedures
All applicants will be required to submit the following documents online. Applicants who have not begun an application for a study abroad program will not be eligible for the scholarship.
- Scholarship Personal Statement, detailing why you have chosen to study, intern or conduct research abroad; how your particular program will aid you in achieving your academic and career goals; and how international travel will enhance your role as a KU Global Scholar.
- Resume or CV
- Unofficial Transcript or Advising Report
All scholarship recipients will be expected to do a brief write-up of their experience abroad, preferably including photos, to share with the Global Scholars program and the scholarship donor.
