My favorite part was getting to live like a French person, in a non touristy area, going to the bakery frequently, commuting on the metro, and enjoying cafe culture.

I learned to feel comfortable when I am "out of my comfort zone".

I learned to be observant in every aspect of your experience. That means not only being aware of your surroundings, but to analyze them and the people around you. You will learn more this way, but it is also important for your safety when living in a big city in these times. I would also say, just be smart, its not that difficult. Use common sense and trust your gut. Don't overthink things. When traveling you must remember that things are designed so that someone with good common sense can figure it out. Its not a puzzle, and its not difficult. Use your head.
