Before traveling abroad, I didn't realize just how different their schooling systems were. I had to learn to adapt and had to work a lot harder to learn how their courses are set up while also learning the new material.

Meeting new people from different counties was probably the most rewarding. I was able to learn a lot of new things about a culture I had never experienced before while also teaching other people about what its like in the US.

My favorite part was that it allowed me the amazing opportunity to experience a range of new and exciting cultures. I love the fact that I can now say I lived in another country and visited places I had only dreamed about visiting. I loved walking around city center with my friends, sitting on the beach and hearing the waves crashing on the shore, and listening to the seagulls outside my window. It was amazing that I could hop on a train, bus, or plane and travel all over Europe. I simply loved everything about Swansea.
