The itinerary was very comprehensive. I felt the program covered each element of each city that was worth visiting.

It's hard to choose a favorite part of this program because each day was so full of new and incredible experiences. We got to experience, not only the architecture, but also the art, food, and amazing culture of China in a way that felt so personal despite only being there for 21 days. Hui did such an excellent job guiding us the whole time and giving us access to every new experience she could.

Meeting with faculty and students from the local universities. I enjoyed the cultural exchange of not just architectural ideas but also cultural ones.

While there is definitely a language barrier, the country is not as intimidating as one might think.

I learned a lot about Chinese culture and how other people could be both so similar and so different from my own culture. I also again learned a lot about the specific design principles used in Chinese design and I will for sure be able to take those away to use in my own designs in the future.
