My favorite part of the program was that they built in travel time. Because it was a Study Abroad Institute they knew that we were going to be traveling and from out of the country so they had everything set up for us. The program was really helpful and aware.

My teachers were people working in the field who had experience doing what I want to do. I learned so much from them both in the classroom and on our field trips around Denmark and Europe.

I loved that studying with DIS gave me the freedom to do what I wanted. I attended class for a few hours each day, but for the rest of the time I was able to explore Denmark and experience living in Copenhagen like a local.

My favorite part of this program was experiencing the Midsummer festival during June in Sweden.

I enjoyed getting to be able to have the experiences of immersing ourselves in the Danish culture while still learning from our professors. I thought DIS did a wonderful job incorporating the different aspects of Danish culture and American culture to make it feel as if we have been part of the community.

I enjoyed the people I met and the freedom I was given to explore Denmark on my own.

The most rewarding elements of the program were probably the travel times with your class. These periods really helped you get to know your class and make friends.

The most rewarding part of this program was forcing myself to step out of my comfort zone and interact with new people.

I felt that the study tours provided through DIS were very rewarding. I had the opportunity to travel to new countries with my classmates and closely observe the culture as well as business and communication practices in these places. We had the chance to go meet locals, talk with companies, and listen to speakers from all backgrounds and it really was rewarding leaving these places knowing all the information I learned.

I would say the short study tours, the outdoor LLC events, and the field study days were the most rewarding. They gave us a chance to go out around Copenhagen and beyond to really experience Denmark.

Be prepared for rainy weather in Denmark, but if you last through it, it is one of the best places to be in the world.

I learned that you have to put yourself out there. A semester is short to make all the memories and friends that you'll cherish the rest of your life. To not be afraid of going around the city alone and even other countries, and to always want to learn something new or see something new.

There is a major variety of living arrangements to look into. While I was flexible in what I was looking for, there is potential to customize housing which people should look into.
