Meeting people. Every local we met was outgoing and very nice. The experience was as much about seeing culture as it was about experiencing it firsthand.

I enjoyed taking courses that were relevant to the culture and their historical experiences.

My favorite part of the program was definitely the variety of places that we were able to experience. We went to Limerick, Galway, and Dublin as group, and I had time to go up to Belfast on myself. It is what you make it, and I felt that I made it extremely worth it.

I really enjoyed that the group was so small; it really gave us a chance to do things together both in Limerick and in Dublin. The Cliffs of Moher day trip was one of the best parts of the trip. Bunratty Castle Dinner is a MUST in the upcoming years.

I like how the program moved through multiple cities. Being in one city the entire time would have limited our exposure and cultural experience.

The three program-sponsored dinners where my favorite part of the program, especially the one we did at Knappogue Castle.

The program provided great exposure to Irish culture and history both through group outings to Castles and live-music at pubs, and also by reading cases and discussing legal questions relevant to the Irish quest for Independence and subsequent separatist movements.

Being able to see so much of the country in such a short time. For only being there for 3 weeks, I feel comfortable with how much of Ireland I was able to experience.

I've wanted to go to Ireland for a really long time because my family is from there. So getting to see the culture and elements of my family heritage was really cool.

Pack light and look at the weather the day you leave the forecast changed after I looked and would have changed how I packed

Always keep an open mind.

Make sure you have rain wear and get up to Belfast if you've got the chance. Seeing the Catholic/Protestant interaction in the flesh is an extremely enlightening experience.

Ireland has much more to offer than just Guinness. Although the Guinness is great.

3 weeks will go faster than you think. Try to do as much as you can in the time you are there.

If you choose to travel on your own in Ireland, renting a car is by far the best option. And driving on the left side of the road (right side of the car) is not as difficult as it seems!

The classes offered in this program provided an immersion into not only the way of thinking and life of the Irish people, but also provided an insight into the structure of academics and learning styles of another country. The opportunity to pair the classes taken all while being immersed in the culture itself only enriched the learning experience.
